How to fix a .docx file that won't open

Step 1
Upload the file to a new email in your gmail account and send it to yourself.

Step 2
When the email arrives, click view to open it in Google documents.

Step 3
Click on Save in Google Docs.

Step 4
While in Google Docs, place a check-mark next to the file you just saved. Go up to More, and click on Export to Google Docs. That'll create a new file above the original one.

Step 5
Click on the new file and open it. Here you can do what you like and then when you're done, click on File, and Download As to download it as various file types.
